Junior high basketball games at Caney, vs. Leon-Bluestem on Thursday, January 14. There will be NO girl’s games at all, only two boy’s games. The B boys will play in the main gym at 5:00 followed by the A boys at 6:00. Two parent/guardians only allowed entry, masks required at all times. Parents only enter the main South doors, sit on the South side bleachers only. Please social distance by only sitting on a blue X, only in pods of two. High school wrestling at Independence on Thursday, January 14. Matches begin at 6:00 pm. Covid protocol to follow, from Independence…Two parent/guardian will only be allowed entry; each parent will need to show their ID when entering the event. There will be designated areas for each team's parents to sit, please stay in that area. The athletes will NOT be allowed to mix with the spectators. Masks will be required at all times inside the building. Both mats will be shown on a livestream, they will be posted as soon as Independence sends those to us. Probably sometime tomorrow.

High school basketball games At Erie on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Only two parent/guardians on the admission list will be allowed entry. Temperature checks will be taken upon entry, anyone with a fever of 100.4 or above, will not be allowed entry. Masks are required at ALL times, please sit six feet apart and social distance. All spectators will enter the main entrance. Seating: Auxiliary Gym- visitors will sit on the Southeast end. Main Gym- visitors will sit in the East bleachers. All games will be played at the high school. Auxiliary Gym- 5:00pm JV boys-4 quarters, followed by C boys-2 quarters. After the varsity girls, the JV girls will play 2 quarters. Junior high games on Monday, January 11 at Galesburg, ONLY the junior high boys’ basketball teams will play, no girls games. The C boys will start at 5:00 and only play two quarters. The B boys will follow around 5:45, followed by the A boys around 6:35. Only two parent/guardians will be allowed entry. Lincoln families, today we are sending home your child’s first P.A.C.E.R. reading log. P.A.C.E.R. stands for Parents and Children Enjoy Reading and will be used as a schoolwide incentive program to encourage reading with your child at home. Please see the attached image for more information.
By KSHSAA rule no activities or games can be played until January 8, so only HS games this coming week on January 8. The Schedules and Events tab on the USD436 App are all updated and correct.

The Dewey games are cancelled due to their quarantine numbers so Caney will now HOST Sedan on Friday, December 18. Each JV and varsity player will be allowed two parent/guardians on the admission list. Masks must be worn correctly the entire time you are inside our facility. Caney parents sit in the South bleachers only where there is blue tape on top of the bleachers in pods of two for social distancing. Only enter the front South main door. The JV boys will play in the main gym at 4:45, the varsity girls will play at 6:00, followed by the varsity boys around 7:45.
