USD #436 Caney Valley will not have school tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 17th due to local efforts to accommodate the state of emergency issued by the Gov., continued extreme weather conditions, the likelihood of further rolling power outages, as well as the potential restrictions on the flow of natural gas. In discussions with area leaders, I feel this is the best decision for our students, faculty, staff and families. Thank you for understanding.

At the Eureka wrestling Regional today Jake Stanton placed 1st, Heath Ellis and Garret Watson both placed 4th. This qualifies those 3 for the sub-state tournament at Marion on 2/20. Caiden Rupert placed 5th and will go as an alternate. Great job wrestlers and coaches!!
The high school boys’ basketball games vs. Inola, Oklahoma scheduled for Saturday, February 13 have been cancelled. They didn’t have school today and are not allowed to travel tomorrow due to the weather.

Masks required at all times, names must be on our admission list for entry, enter the main South doors, please sit on the South side bleachers. Band parents please sit on the lower level North side by the band. Social distance by only sitting on marked blue tape seat tops. Games in the Secondary gym; the JV boys will begin at 5:00 followed by C team boys playing two quarters, with JV girls playing two quarters around 7:15.
