The Dewey games are cancelled due to their quarantine numbers so Caney will now HOST Sedan on Friday, December 18. Each JV and varsity player will be allowed two parent/guardians on the admission list. Masks must be worn correctly the entire time you are inside our facility. Caney parents sit in the South bleachers only where there is blue tape on top of the bleachers in pods of two for social distancing. Only enter the front South main door. The JV boys will play in the main gym at 4:45, the varsity girls will play at 6:00, followed by the varsity boys around 7:45. The Dewey boys team is in full quarantine so there will be NO games at Dewey tomorrow. We were able to quickly schedule games with Sedan. There will be home games vs. Sedan on Friday, December 18. More details to follow.
Santa’s Christmas letters arrived in Mr. Hedges class today! A lot of excitement as the students read their letters.

Junior high basketball games at Caney on 12/17 vs. Neodesha. Secondary gym: C boys at 5:00, B boys at 6:00, B girls at 7:15. Main gym: A girls at 6:00, A boys at 7:15. Two parent/guardians will be allowed entry, masks worn correctly the entire time you are in the building are required. Home fans only enter the main South doors for all games. Main gym, sit in the South bleachers only; the secondary gym, sit in the Southwest bleachers only. Our fans did a great job at the HS game last Tuesday, we look for our JH parents to be equally as cooperative with masks and guidelines. This morning here at CVHS senior Evie Scoles signed a scholarship for both volleyball and track at Southwestern College! Her mom, dad, and brother, along with her high school coaches, plus her upcoming college coaches were here for the event. Congratulations Evie and thank you for your dedication to our volleyball and track programs here at Caney. Good luck to you as you will compete next year as a Moundbuilder at Southwestern College in Winfield, Ks.
Attention senior parent/guardians. Baby ads and all senior photos are due by Friday, December 18. If you want to buy a baby ad refer to the letter sent earlier and pay for the ad by Friday. Senior photos can be emailed to Ashley Roper as a digital image is preferred.

CHANGE IN GAMES AT HUMBOLDT TODAY 12/14 – the boy’s games have been cancelled with too many Humboldt players in quarantine. Only the girl’s games will still be played today. The A team girls still play at 6:00, B team girls at 7:00, both games are in the main Fieldhouse. Two parent/guardians for the girl’s games will be the only parent/guardians allowed in at Humboldt today. Temperatures will be taken, wrist bands put on. Masks are required at all times, to say on and to be worn in the correct way, above your nose. If not, you will be asked to leave.
