Fall Practice…..The junior high and high school Fall sports seasons officially begin on Monday, August 17. All participants are expected to be at practice, times are listed below. Complete physicals MUST be turned in to practice by this date. Bring your own water bottle and masks. High school football will begin at 6:00 pm – high school volleyball, cross country, junior high football, and junior high volleyball will all begin at 4:00 pm. High school girls golf will start practice at the course at 3:30, meet at the school by 3:15 if you need a ride. High school and junior high cheerleaders will start on Tuesday, August 18 at 4:15. Check with your head coach if you have any additional questions about your sport.
Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas will be performing sports physicals today in the small gym during enrollment. Parents need to complete both the CVHS physical form as well as the CHC Consent Form. Both forms can be picked up at the Board Office or at the High School.

Online enrollment emails have been sent out to returning students, if you did not receive the email please contact your child's building. In person enrollment begins tomorrow 9AM at the CVHS gym!
Congratulations CVHS Grads, Keaton Herrmann, Emma Poole and Vince Nacin, for being recognized at The Night of Scholars by the Examiner-Enterprise and Patriot Auto Group in Bartlesville. 12 area schools were represented and Keaton was the Sutton Avian Conservation Scholarship recipient as well as the First Runner up Scholarship recipient and Emma was the Third runner up scholarship recipient. Jace Kaminska was also recognized as an Athlete of the Month. Good night for #pupnation!

Starting on July 29 CVHS volunteer workouts are back open under CVHS coaches’ supervision only. Starting on August 3 only Fall sports and students in the supervised weight room can use CVHS facilities. Face masks must be worn indoors; participants must bring and use their own water bottles. Your coaches will address Covid procedures, and they will inform you of changes that need to happen in your upcoming specific sports. On August 17, regular season practices will begin for all Fall sports at CVHS.
Free physicals will be offered to CVHS students by CHC during enrollment at the high school on August 6 and 7. New physical forms are required; this is a great opportunity to get your physical taken care of before the start of the season and school year on the proper form.
CVHS Football Camp - August 3-7 - Times: Jr. High - 7:00 am to 8:30 am / Grades 1-6 - 8:00 am to 9:00 am / High School 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Cost: $25.00 (Make checks out to Criss Davis) this will cover camp T-shirt and insurance. Wear T-shirt, shorts, and bring your cleats. Note: Bring your own water bottle! See you all soon Bullpups!

The State Board of Education voted today to NOT approve the Executive Order to delay the start of school. At this time USD#436 will be having a special board meeting Monday to determine next steps and plan to update the community as soon as possible.
USD 436 families, you will be receiving a survey that will allow us to gather feedback regarding the start of school. The governor has mandated for both public and private schools, face coverings and six-foot social distancing for students Kindergarten through 12th grade. Free sports physicals will Not be given at CVHS on July 21 and 22. With the Covid virus, things are often changing daily. We will announce new dates for physicals at a later time once we have them set.
CVHS coaches, sponsors, students, and parents...Summer Volunteer Workouts for weights and all sports last day will be Friday, July 17. This pending the upcoming Governor’s Executive Order. Once we have that order we will put out information on if we will stay closed or open back up under similar or different guidelines. Again, No weights or any sports activities starting Monday, July 20 at CVHS.
