Congratulations to our Caney Valley Jr/Sr High School October Students of the Month, Athletes of the Month, and Spirit Award winners!

CVHS 8th graders had a full day learning about historical Kansas events and the state legislative system in Topeka. Students ventured to the top of the dome at the State Capitol, visited the floor of the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site.










The county, city and school district have partnered to seek resources during the water crisis. Yesterday, semis full of pallets of water mobilized to bring some relief to Caney residents and schools. Thank you to everyone who has donated!



What causes water to evaporate faster, wind or heat? Just ask a Bullpup fifth grader! Students experimented with different ways to evaporate water during PLTW today.


Today during science class, 6th grade students made cell models out of Legos.

Playoffs begin this Friday, Oct 27 as your Bullpups host Council Grove. KICKOFF IS AT 6 PM! As this is not a regular season game, no passes of any kind will be accepted at the gate.

Junior High Wrestling - There will be a junior high wrestling parent meeting in the high school cafeteria on Tuesday, October 24th at 5:15 pm. All junior high wrestling parents are invited and encouraged to attend!

The Caney Valley Board of Education voted to adopt a modified academic calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. Please note changes from the original communication regarding days off. A town hall meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct 23 at 6 pm in the CVHS Auditorium.
