Congratulations to the Pride of Caney Marching Band upon receiving a One Rating in Street Marching and Standing Performance at the Kansas State Fair Marching Band competition yesterday. There is only one rating higher than this one. Excellent job, band!

Mrs. Todd's Freshman Physical Science classes competed in the Annual Boat Races today.
The objective of the Boat Race is to build a boat of cardboard that can carry one person the length of the pool.
The project puts what the students learn in class about buoyancy and Archimedes’s Principle into practice.
Students use cardboard and tape of the engineer’s choosing to build their vessels.

They attended the week-long camp at Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS where they had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and bring back a wealth of information to enhance the local KAY Club. Thank you ladies for having a positive attitude towards service for others!
With Fall sports kicking off this evening at Caney Valley, the Tri Valley League would like to encourage all of the League schools to be mindful of how we promote sportsmanship. As the state faces a shortage of officials, we anticipate schedule changes and other setbacks throughout this school year as a result. Please do your part as a spectator and encourage positive sportsmanship for our athletes so that we can keep our kids playing!
