Due to very wet field conditions, the JV Baseball Games at Coffeyville has been cancelled.

Class of 2024 families and friends, mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 15. The Senior Scholarship Ceremony will take place at 5:30 pm in the CVHS Auditorium with light refreshments to follow. Baccalaureate will take place at 7 pm in the Auditorium.

With the threat of severe weather combined with field conditions, all Athletics events for CVHS have been cancelled or postponed for today, Monday, May 6. The safety of our students is our number one priority. Thank you for your continued support.

CVHS will host Baseball Regionals (weather permitting) on Wed, May 8 at 5:30 pm. Admission is $8 for Adults and $6 for Students K-12. No passes of any kind will be accepted. If Caney Valley wins, they will play again at on Tuesday, May 14 at 4:00 pm

Caney FFA has had a stellar week. The Chapter made it as a State Finalist for the National Chapter Award program for Kansas FFA! This means that they have been ranked gold division in all 3 areas of Growing Leaders, Building Communities, and Strengthening Ag for their various activities and outreach planned and hosted by members throughout the year. Some of these include bi-weekly 4th grade ag lessons, Caney FFA Floriculture, FFA week celebration activities, Kiddie Barn, and much more! Caney FFA is 1 of only 21 from over 227 state wide chapters to make the final round! Chapter officers will interview for finals this upcoming week and find out results at Kansas State FFA Convention at the end of May.

It might be two weeks till the end of the school year, but learning has not slowed down for the Junior High students. This week students learned and practiced ironing, sewing by hand and sewing with a machine in FACS; building and coding robot dragsters in PLTW Automation and Robotics; and designed and built complex machines in 7th grade science to show creativity and transfer of energy.









CVHS and Lincoln would like to thank the men and woman who work hard everyday to prepare food for the students and staff!

Please join us on Tuesday, May 7 in the CVHS auditorium for the Junior High and High School Band and Choir Concert. They will perform along with select soloists from this spring's music contests.

It's School Lunch Hero Day! Thank you to our food service staff who keep us fueled with delicious meals every day. From the cooks crafting tasty dishes to the staff serving with smiles, thank you for making mealtime awesome! Let's show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to every student, every day!

Remaining JV baseball schedule...Monday, May 6 we will play AT HOME against Sedan, this will only be one 7-inning game with a 4:30 start. Tuesday, May 7 we will play AT Coffeyville in a doubleheader, starting at 4:30.
Mr. Dupuis Honors American history class had the opportunity to zoom with Teresa Phillips who was the lead assistant to General John Galvin the leader of the NATO U.S Supreme Allied Command Operations during the fall of the Berlin Wall. She is a small town Kansas graduate who also talked about her journey to that position!
