Let's give a shout out to senior Ava Allan and sophomore Ally Wade for representing Caney Valley High School at the recent KAY Leadership Camp!! They attended the week-long camp at Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS where they had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and bring back a wealth of information to enhance the local KAY Club. Thank you ladies for having a positive attitude towards service for others!
With Fall sports kicking off this evening at Caney Valley, the Tri Valley League would like to encourage all of the League schools to be mindful of how we promote sportsmanship. As the state faces a shortage of officials, we anticipate schedule changes and other setbacks throughout this school year as a result. Please do your part as a spectator and encourage positive sportsmanship for our athletes so that we can keep our kids playing!

Due to the construction at the Grade School, ACES pick up will be in the front circle drive for the next three weeks. Please park, call the grade school and we will walk your child out the front doors.
The fall athletics season is kicking off at CVHS with the Volleyball Jamboree tomorrow night at 5 pm and the Football Jamboree on Friday at 7 pm. The Booster Club will be hosting "PupFest" prior to the Football Jamboree at 5:30 pm on the front lawn of the stadium. Admission for Volleyball and Football is a sports drink or bottled water.
Football Practice: The high school and junior high football teams will both practice at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27 due to the predicted heat index.

There will be a high school football parent meeting on Saturday, August 24th. The meeting will be held that morning right after the team scrimmage on the upper practice field at the high school.

Volleyball Parents: There will be a volleyball parent meeting on Thursday, August 22 in the high school cafeteria. The junior high parents will meet at 5:15 pm, the high school parents will meet at 5:45 pm. Again, the two volleyball meetings will be in the high school cafeteria.
As a reminder, fall sports practices begin today for Jr/Sr High (Monday, Aug 19). All athletes must have a physical on file to participate. Everyone begins at 3:45 with the exception of Jr High and High School Cheer, which begin at 5:30, and High School Football, beginning at 6 pm.
