No school for students tomorrow, Monday, Feb 10 (Staff Professional Development Day).

The junior high boys basketball team won the TVL Basketball Championship today. They are the undefeated regular season champions and tournament champions. Great job and congratulations!!

Due to sickness with the Humboldt teams, only the varsity girls and boys will play tonight. There will be NO boys C game and NO girls or boys JV games.

It's Homecoming Week 👑 next week at CVHS! Jr/Sr High students are invited to join us in a week of spirit days celebrating our ♥️ 🐾LOVE ♥️ 🐾for the Bullpups. High School students will participate in a school scavenger hunt on Thursday and will let their "Neon Love Shine all Night Long" with a 🌟 Glow Pep Rally 🦺 📣 before the end of the school day. Festivities will culminate with Coronation at Halftime of the boys game on Valentine's Day (Friday, Feb 14), followed by dancing under the "Neon Moon" at the casual Homecoming dance after the game (High School Students Only).

Your Caney Valley Jr High 💪UNDEFEATED 🏀 boys team competes in the TVL Tournament Championship on Saturday, February 8 at 11 am as we host Eureka!

Join Mr. Vargas next week for "Voices with Vargas." Meet up at the Board Office on Monday, Feb 10 for his regular session the morning of the board meeting, or he will be available all day on Friday, February 14 for any public that would like to stop in. If you'd like to schedule a meeting at a different time, simply call the Board Office at (620) 879-9200.

Round 2 of the Jr High Tri Valley League Tournament takes place at Fredonia on Thursday, February 6. Please note, all girls games are at the Jr/Sr High School, and all of the boys games take place at the ELC ( 203 N 7th St ). Good Luck Pups!

February 3-7 is National School Counselor's Week. Thank you to our dedicated staff who go above and beyond to support our students.

It's TVL Junior High Tournament week starting Monday, February 3! We have an exciting week planned for our Jr High Students with spirit days, a school pep rally, and as we host Round 1 of the tournament on Monday evening the Pup Band will play and the Jr High Spirit Squad will perform during halftime of the boys game. A Girls play at 6 pm in the Auxiliary gym followed by A Boys in the main gym at 7 pm. Plan to come out and support our Jr High Pups!

The Bullpup Men’s Varsity Wrestling Team headed north to face off with much bigger schools in Chanute today. The following made the podium:

The Caney Valley Jr/Sr High Pup Band was represented by 14 students last weekend at the K-State Concert Band Clinic in Manhattan. All students were selected from nominations and then put into band through an audition process, with 8th grader Bradley Vargas being selected a member of the Top Honor Band.

What a Spelling Competition today! Many rounds led to our Champion Colton Ames and our runner-up Karsyn Hockett. These two will compete in the Montgomery County Spelling Bee in February, our alternate will be Kolt Schmidt. Great job to all the contestants!
