Please be mindful when attending tonight’s game at Cherryvale. It is an active construction site as a new track is being built. There are tarps on the south end zone of the field on the old track. Use the tarps to get to the newly poured concrete to make your way around to the visitor side. Do not get on the track on the north end zone. Please use the tarps to access the concrete track.

Students in Mr. Moore’s science class took on a hands-on STEM challenge, working together to design and build popsicle stick bridges. 🧪🌉 Their creativity and problem-solving skills were put to the test as the bridges were evaluated for strength and durability — and some held up better than others! 💪

Beginning this school year, we will have a late start schedule once a month on the third Wednesday.
Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Transportation – Buses will run at their regular times.
✅ Breakfast – Served for students who arrive at the regular time and for those coming in later with the late start.
✅ Supervision – Adult supervision will be available at school for all students who arrive at the normal time.
This schedule is designed so families won’t experience disruption—your morning routine can stay the same if needed. However, if you’d like your student to take advantage of a later start to the day, you may do so on these dates.
We’ll share reminders each month so you’re always up to date! 🗓️💙

JAG-K (Jobs for America’s Graduates–Kansas) is a brand-new program at CVHS this year! Today, students kicked off their “Mindful Monday” by focusing on setting personal goals. From earning a driver’s license to pursuing college dreams at OU, our Bullpups are thinking big and planning for their future! 🚗🎓✨

🐾 High School Football & Volleyball are kicking off their season next week with their Jamborees!🏐Volleyball travels to Cherryvale on Tuesday, Aug 26 with competition beginning at 5 pm, and on Friday, Aug 29 the 🏈 Football Jamboree takes place in Independence starting at 7 pm.
Students in Mrs. Hughey’s music class are loving the new #EasyRisers! These risers provide plenty of space to seat even our largest classes and can easily be compacted to open up the room for movement and dancing.

Parent Meetings for Caney Valley Jr/Sr High athletics will be taking place this week and next. Please have one parent in attendance for this important information!
Following KSHSAA wet bulb guidelines for elevated heat🔥☀️🌡️, some practices for High School and Jr High have been modified for today (Mon, Aug 18).
High School Football will meet at 5:15 in the locker room for helmet fittings with practice beginning at around 6 pm.
High School Girls Golf will practice at 6 pm at the Caney Golf Course
Jr High Football will still begin at 3:45 in the locker room but will practice indoors at CV West. Pick up will still take place afterwards at the Jr/Sr High School.
Jr High & High School Cross Country will meet at their regularly scheduled time but will practice indoors.
