Dear Senior Parents,
The Senior English teachers have planned a Senior Mock Interview day. We have approximately 15 local businesses coming to CVHS on May 1st, from 12:00-3:30 in support of our seniors gaining some practical, real-world experience with interviewing. They will interview with 2 different people (that have interview experience) and get feedback. Students have already typed up resumes and we would like for them to have some sort of manilla envelope or folder to hold their resumes, references, etc.
They will need to dress professionally for this day. It can be how they would dress for game days, or to go to a wedding or church. The typical interview attire would be preferred, but you don’t need to go buy something special for this day. We will also be providing lunch (pizza) for the Seniors as it is close to lunchtime.
We would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping your child prepare for this day. Please don’t schedule any appointments for your seniors on this day. They will be signing up for the interviews times, and we are working on preparation and tips during class as well.

On May 8, the high school will offer a free physical day for our students. This physical will be good for participating in sports during the 2019-2020 school year. A packet of information that MUST BE filled out and brought back to the school by May 2 was sent home on 4/25.
Lincoln reminder: Arvest Bank has graciously agreed to provide lunch for all students on field day! They will be serving hot dogs and chips. There will be no sack lunches provided by the school that day but your child may bring their own if they wish. Thank you, Arvest!

The canceled varsity softball/baseball games against Coffeyville on 4/23 will now be combined with the JV games scheduled to be here against Coffeyville on 4/25. The JV softball/baseball teams will play one JV game first, followed by one varsity game. Starting at 4:30 in Caney.
The varsity softball and baseball games at Coffeyville scheduled for today, 4/23, have been canceled. As of this time no make-up date has been set. We will notify everyone once we finalize a make-up date.
The home varsity track meet for today, 4/23 has been canceled due to weather and moved to Monday, 4/29. We will combine our JV and Varsity track meet together on 4/29.
On Wednesday, April 24 individual Spring photos will be taken at the jr/sr. high school that morning. Photo packets (to purchase photos) will be handed out on April 22 to all students. Yearbook club photos will also be taken on April 24 once the individual photos are complete.
Bluestem has their date wrong and cannot get their teams here for the 4/18 game with transportation issues. This one is out of our control, but the varsity softball and baseball games against Bluestem scheduled for today have been canceled. No rescheduled date has been set.
Lincoln Announcement:
Our bus #1 was unfortunately rear ended, but all kids are safe and accounted for. No major injuries at this time for the Bullpup Family to report. Please send your thoughts and prayers to the other vehicle involved in this accident.
Just a reminder that as of today students will no longer be allowed to make a negative charge on their meal accounts here at CVHS.
Pre-K Round-Up
Lincoln reminder: If you would like your 3rd grader to have a school sack lunch for their upcoming field trip to Elk City (4/26/19) please make sure they have their lunch form turned in by tomorrow 4/18/2019. We have extra forms here in the office if needed.
We received an email from Jostens today letting us know they will open and email another opportunity to purchase a CVHS yearbook. They will email parents later this month with more information, but you CAN still purchase a yearbook now and what looks like the rest of this month.
The auditorium doors will open at 6:30 for prom walk-in. Please be patient with us as we do our best to accommodate for the weather.
CVHS Prom 2019
Due to the high probability of rain, as well as construction issues, please follow this procedure.
Parents, family and friends please park in the east parking lot. You will need to enter at the outside door to the Band room. From there, proceed to the Auditorium. Students will line up and parade on the stage for pictures, then go on to the gym for prom. Students, you will drive to the back of the ag shop and enter the building at outside auditorium door by the greenhouse. Umbrellas will be available at vehicle drop off. *Please note friends and family attending the walk in can not enter the high school beyond the auditorium.
The JV baseball games at Erie on 4/5 have been canceled due to their fields being too wet. There are NO JV baseball and NO JV softball games at Erie today. 4/5
