The teachers’ salad bar has been a great addition at Lincoln! Our food service ladies are “salad” gold! Even though there wasn’t “mushroom” in the lunchroom, they “beet” all odds and made it fit. If you ask “olive” the staff at Lincoln they deserve an increase in their “celery” for all their hard work. Thanks so much for all you do!

Today 5th grade students went over expectations and began to build stamina for independent reading in class! They started with a story from one of Mr. Traxson’s favorite books, Wayside School is Falling Down.

This reminder is in regard to the CVHS 7-12 Drug Testing Policy; the signed paper must be turned in to the school by August 28. Please take care of this now, don't wait and forget about it. Have your student ask for another copy if you have misplaced your original. Thank You!
Please see the attachment regarding the community incident today, August 20th. Thank you again for all the continued support and patience as we navigated this event. We are glad everyone is safe! Have a great evening Bullpups!

On Tuesday, August 20 all junior high practices will end at 5:30, normal time.
We have been cleared from our soft lockdown. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Buses will run as planned, but approximately 45 min behind schedule.
We are now on a soft lockdown - ALL STUDENTS ARE SAFE - we cannot release any students until police and ATF clear us. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will update as more information comes available. Again all students are safe!
We are currently under a hard lockdown at both schools as the city handles a situation. ALL STUDENTS ARE SAFE AND ACCOUNTED FOR. Bus routes are delayed and students will not be released until further notice and clearance from the city.
Today was a start to building a GREAT whole school community with morning announcements in the gym! These kids were ready to Learn, Think, and Care! #436G2G

It was a busy day at Lincoln with Kindergarteners and Preschoolers showing up for their ASQ surveys. If you were unable to attend, surveys will be sent home to be filled out after the start of school. Thank you to all who attended!
Welcome back for the 2019-2020 school year. Just a reminder that district wide enrollment will be tomorrow from 9-7 and on Friday from 9-1 at the High School. Community Health Center of SE Kansas will be here to do FREE sports physicals, GS health assessments and Caney Recreation physicals for those that are interested. These can only be completed if a parent or guardian fills out and signs the forms that are required. These forms will be available during enrollment times. Just a reminder that students at the JH/HS that participate in sports will have to have a physical on file in order to participate.
Good evening Bullpups! Returning student enrollment links have officially been sent out. Out of nearly 700 returning students on file, we only had 10, according to our records, that were unable to be sent. We will be in contact soon! Visit www.caney.com for a live link
