Friday, January 13 the high school basketball teams will host Wyandotte, Ok. and this is also our homecoming night. The JV girls will start at 4:30 and play two quarters, followed by the JV boys playing at 5:15, they will also play two quarters. The varsity girls start at 6:00, the varsity boys will begin around 7:40. Homecoming activities will happen at halftime of the varsity boys game. Get out on homecoming night and support the Pups!
As a reminder, Bullpup Family, there will be no school for students on Monday, January 16.

The Montgomery County Wrestling Dual will be held here in Caney on Thursday, January 12. Matches begin at 5:00 in the main gym. Caney will be on mat 1 all evening. First, Caney vs. Independence, then Caney vs. Coffeyville, and we finish Caney vs. Cherryvale. Come enjoy some wrestling for the evening.
Junior high basketball games at Leon Bluestem on Thursday, January 12. The boy’s games will be played at the high school; the girls games will be played at the elementary school. The C boys start at 5:00 and play two quarters, followed by the B boys around 5:30 and the A boys around 7:00. The B girls start at 6:00 followed by the A girls around 7:00.

We're counting down to Homecoming Coronation! Friday is Bullpup Spirit Day with both Lincoln and Caney Valley Jr/Sr High participating in the class color competition! Candidates will visit the grade school Friday morning to pick class winners for most spirited during morning announcements. At 3 pm, the community is welcome to attend a Pep Rally in the CVHS gymnasium. Coronation will take place at halftime of the boys varsity game!

The high school basketball games at Erie tonight start at 6:00. The JV boys play in the secondary gym and the varsity girls in the main gym. The gyms are next to each other. Those games are followed by the JV girls and varsity boys. The JV girls/JV boys will only play 2 quarters.
Congratulations to the Lincoln Chess Club! These students took 1st Place as a team in the K-8 division this weekend in Frontenac! Way to keep those other teams in "Check"!

High school basketball at Riverton today; the JV girls play in the MPAC starting at 5:00, play 2 quarters. The JV boys play in the Field House at 6:00, 2 quarters. The varsity girls start at 6:00 in the MPAC followed by the varsity boys around 7:40.
Applications are being accepted for a full-time (3-11:30 p.m.) evening custodian at Lincoln. Following a 60-day waiting period, a benefit package may be available to include paid leave and also the district paying up to $647 per month to purchase district health insurance.

Last week Lincoln students collected and donated over 1,300 items to help stock the shelves at the Caney Food Pantry. This week they returned the favor along with Atmos Energy giving every student a food pack for the Christmas break. Thank you so much for your generosity!
