Remember to join us live or through the Eureka Hudl Livestream tonight. Let's go Pups!! https://fan.hudl.com/usa/ks/eureka/organization/10222/eureka-high-school/watch?b=QnJvYWRjYXN0NDI3MTM2NA==

We hope everyone has a safe, restful, and fun-filled Labor Day weekend. We look forward to welcoming our students back refreshed and ready to learn Tuesday, Sept 8. 🇺🇸

Our 4th graders wrapped up CKLA Unit 1: Personal Narratives with some fun, games, and Candy Land!
💡 Did You Know? Candy Land was created in 1948 by schoolteacher Eleanor Abbott while she was recovering from polio in a San Diego hospital. She designed the game to give children in the polio ward a colorful, imaginative escape while they recovered. The goal of reaching “Home” gave children something positive to look forward to.
What a perfect connection to our unit! After learning about a girl’s experience with polio and the power of personal narratives, our students got to play the very game that was inspired by children facing that same illness. ❤️🍬
Great job, 4th Grade! 🎉

Kindergarten got messy today with a little finger painting! Always a fun time in the Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Gee's classroom!

Biology II for college credit: Our students became stream engineers in the Stream Simulation Lab: Designing a Living Stream! Using sand, rocks, and water, they built their own model streams right in the outdoor classroom to witness earth science in action.Through this hands-on lab, students are discovering how water shapes our world in real-time

Caney Valley USD 436 is continuing the conversation about the future of our schools . Your voice helped shape this plan. Now, we want to keep listening. Participate in the ThoughtExchange by following the link at the bottom of the webpage. caney.info/bond2026
With the predicted elevated heat index, the Varsity Football game at Eureka will now start at 7:30 pm. The game can be livestreamed from Eureka at fan.hudl.com/usa/ks/eureka/organization/10222/eureka-high-school

With the predicted heat index, Thursday's Jr High football game will now start at 7:30 pm. Volleyball has also been changed to 5:30 to accommodate parents and cheerleaders to not have a long wait time between games.

🔨🐦 Building skills one project at a time!
Our Intro to Industrial Tech students are hard at work on their first project of the year—building their very own birdhouses! Students are putting their skills into practice as they measure, cut, assemble, and create.
We can’t wait to see the finished products! Great work, Bullpups! ❤️💙

Lincoln 6th graders found themselves in the middle of an incredible adventure—going missing and surviving the Amazon Rainforest!
After their journey, they stepped up to the microphone for a press conference to tell their stories, answer questions, and share what they experienced. This speech and language assignment was one you definitely didn’t want to miss!
Our 6th graders brought their stories to life and showed off some serious speaking skills! Great job, Bullpups!

The power may have gone out, but that only seems to energize our teachers!
Ms. St. John took learning outside for a hands-on lesson about how different colors absorb heat from the sun—and because every great science lesson deserves a snack, the students even got to enjoy a little “science snack” along the way!
