The Lady Bullpups earned a Sub-State Runner-Up finish, with Alex Theiss, Aiva Price, Harper Stallsmith, and Nadaley Gulick also bringing home Regional medals! 👏🏅
Under the direction of Coach Ron Oyler, the team will compete at Tallgrass Golf Club in Wichita, Kansas, October 19 & 20. Their hard work and determination are carrying on a proud tradition of Bullpup excellence!

🍂 Fall break starts a little early for students! There will be no school Thursday, October 15, as conferences take place from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Caney Valley Jr./Sr. High families: Evening conferences will be held in the auxiliary gymnasium. During daytime conferences, visit teachers in their classrooms. Printed building maps will be available at conferences or online here: caney.info/conferences.

🩹 Flu vaccinations are coming to Caney Valley!
Montgomery County Health Department is partnering with USD 436 to offer an in-school flu vaccination clinic for staff and students at Lincoln and CVHS on Monday, October 26.
A completed form is required before any vaccination can be administered. Forms can be found at https://bit.ly/healthybullpups or paper copies will be available at Parent-Teacher Conferences.

To everyone who shared, commented, spread the word, and supported our efforts in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition—thank you! While we did not advance to the next round for the grand prize, we are grateful for the community pride you showed. We’ll receive our $5,000 check at tomorrow night’s game, and that is something worth celebrating!
Our run in the competition may be over, but our work to preserve the stadium’s legacy continues. We’ll keep seeking creative opportunities to care for this special place and improve the experience for the generations who will follow us.
We also want to recognize the Caney Valley Historical Society for its dedication and efforts toward having the stadium listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thank you for helping ensure that our community’s history receives the recognition it deserves.
You spoke, and we listened: preserving our stadium matters. That community feedback helped shape a path forward. The November 3 bond proposal addresses other district needs, including storm shelters, a secured entrance, and improved learning spaces, while leaving our historic stadium intact.

While our 9th, 10th, and 11th graders were hard at work taking the PreACT and WorkKeys assessments, our 7th, 8th, and 12th graders spent the morning learning beyond the classroom and giving back to our communities!
A huge THANK YOU to Independence Community College for hosting all of our 7th and 8th graders! Students had the opportunity to explore post-secondary options, tour the ICC campus, and get hands-on experience in the ICC Fab Lab. 🔧💡
Meanwhile, our CVHS Seniors rolled up their sleeves and spent the morning serving our community! They:
• Spruced up fire hydrants around town
• Helped give the tennis/pickleball courts a much-needed makeover
• Cleaned up the elementary playground
• Read to elementary students 📚
• Helped make improvements at the stadium
Today was about more than testing, college visits, and community service—it was about preparing for the future, taking pride in where we live, and learning that education happens far beyond the walls of a classroom.

This helps prevent notification overload so families can keep notifications on and catch important updates.
