Today our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students had the wonderful opportunity to meet children’s author Kim McGrath! 📚
Students listened to her stories, asked questions, and learned all about the writing process from a real author. It was an inspiring morning filled with imagination, creativity, and plenty of smiles!
A huge thank-you to Kim McGrath for sharing her talents and encouraging our young readers and writers.

Congratulations to Freshman Bradley Vargas who was selected to the SE KMEA (Southeast Kansas Music Educators Association) District Honor Band. He will perform with other students from throughout the SE KMEA District on December 6th in Pittsburg.

Our 6th graders held a Mock Trial based on “The Monkey’s Paw,” and they absolutely owned the courtroom—judges, lawyers, witnesses, and all!

With last Friday’s win, our Bullpups are one of only 8 teams left in the STATE playoffs as they head into Friday night’s Sectional game! 💪
It’s the first time since 2022 we’ve competed at the Sectional level — and the first time in over a decade we’ve hosted Sectionals right here at home! 🔥

🇺🇸 KSHSAA is also offering free admission for all Military Veterans, Active Duty service members, and one guest at all Sectional games.
