Caney Valley School District #436 is committed to providing students an education beyond expectations, an education filled with opportunities and valuable experiences. More than 900 students attend Caney Valley schools,and the district is committed to providing a personalized learning experience to each individual child. The district has one elementary school, grades Pre-K through 6; a Jr/Sr High School, grades 7-12; and the Caney Valley Charter Academy (Charter School), grades 9 through 12. Also, for non-traditional students, the Caney Valley School District offers a virtual school.

The Caney Valley School District is proud of the academic achievements of its students. In 2010-11, Lincoln Memorial Grade School achieved Building Wide Standard of Excellence in the areas of Reading, Math and Science. Caney Valley Jr/Sr High School also acheived Building Wide Standard of Excellence in the areas of Reading, Math and Science. The Jr/Sr high building also recieved a Certificate of Recognition in the Challenge Awards Program from the Kansas Public Education Task Force.  This award recognizes  outstanding achievement based on 2011 Kansas assessment results.
